And yet it cannot be exhausted.

When you get right with Tao,
everybody wants to be your friend.
When they're around you,
they can relax and enjoy themselves.

People can be easily distracted
by music or good food.
When we try to talk about Tao,

Chapter thirty-five: Humane Power

and all the world will come to you,
harmless, peaceable, serene.

Walking around, we stop
for music, for food.
But if you taste the Way
its flat, insipid.
It looks like nothing much,
its sounds like nothing much.
And yet you can't get enough of it.
